Day-old chick transport

Trucks and semi-trailers for transporting day-old chicks

Advantages over our competitors

Our vehicles for transporting day-old chicks offer many features that are unique among all other producers. These features will give you higher performance, better reliability and lower maintenance costs.

  1. All parts are powered from 24V voltage, which is safe to touch (compared to 400V).
  2. Ventilation and heating are powered from the main engine of the truck, so the auxiliary diesel engine does not need to be running during transportation. It only needs to be running when cooling.
  3. Ventilation and heating can be powered from batteries for up to 4 hours, which is enough for loading and unloading. Batteries can be also used in case of failure.
  4. If the ventilation has to be powered from batteries due to a charging failure, ventilation power can be lowered to 50%, which doubles the battery life.
  5. If there is failure and the ventilation is not running, thanks to our unique airflow design some air is still coming to the body when the vehicle is moving.
  6. Hot-water heating is connected with the cooling system of the truck’s main engine, which:
    • Helps to heat the body with chicks;
    • Saves fuel and wear of the hot-water heating (heat from the main engine would be normally dissipated by the engine radiator);
    • The truck's engine itself can heat the body in case of heating failure.
  7. Air filters can be removed and cleaned from outside, without removing the trolleys.
  8. The airflow in the body can be precisely adjusted by the driver. In case of failure, the airflow in any part of the body can be closed completely, letting more air go to the chicks.
  9. All parts are controlled by the driver from the cabin, including starting or stopping the diesel engine.
  10. The control unit with a touch screen is easy to operate.
  11. All conditions during transportation are monitored and recorded by the control unit. Data from the transportation can be printed by an internal printer or downloaded to a PC and analyzed.
  12. Sophisticated Windows software for data analysis and archiving. The software can display all temperatures and faults minute by minute, print graphs etc.
  13. Data can be downloaded remotely via GSM communication.

Transport in hot weather

Our customers are often surprised that there can be 26 °C in the body full of chicks while there is nearly 40 °C outside. Thanks to our powerful cooling, hot weather is no more a problem.
